This October, Asia Society Texas Center and Miller Outdoor Theatre welcome Red Baraat
to Houston, where the Brooklyn-based band of six will bring their unique and raucous sound that combines Indian Bhangra beats with New Orleans Jazz.
Described by NPR as «the best party band in years,» Red Baraat has drawn worldwide praise for its merging of hard-driving North Indian Bhangra with elements of funk, go-go, rock, and jazz — fueled by master rhythm-makers, the muscle of horns, raucous guitar, and a booming sousaphone.
This concert is FREE and open to the public. Assigned seating and open seating on the hill are both available.
