This seminar will cover basic response to an active shooter or other types of mass casualty incident. Recommendations published by The Department of Homeland Security will be taught with an emphasis on current events and updated information on trends. This seminar is not only for people who wish to arm themselves but also for persons that are not able to carry firearms due to age or employment restrictions. Common locations will be discussed, such as schools, shopping malls, and churches.
The Trauma First Aid portion of the seminar is to teach students the very first steps of providing medical care while in high-stress scenarios. These scenarios can range from car crashes, hunting accidents, to finding an unknown survivor on the street.
